We ask the awkward questions before the pleasant ones
In this region the first useful questions are whether the property carries a substantial damage history and what protection the house already has. Both can change the job into something smaller, something larger, or something that is not ours at all.
A quote produced without asking either is a number that may not survive the permit. We would rather spend the first conversation on that than on catalogues.
We will not oversell what a window does
Impact glazing is a wind product. In the parts of this coast worst affected in 2022 the destroying force was water, and no window addresses that. We say so at the quote, in writing, and on the site.
It occasionally costs us a job to somebody making a larger promise. It also means the owner who buys from us knows what they bought, which is the only version of this that holds up afterwards.
We install with our own crews
Most of this trade sells the job and subcontracts the installation to whoever has capacity that week. We do not. Everybody who touches your building is on our payroll, from the survey through to the paint line.
The stucco returns, the interior casing and the making good stay with us. That matters more when the contractor is based across the state, because otherwise you are coordinating three trades from a distance.

Romco Builders is a licensed Florida general contractor. We do not publish claims about certifications we do not hold, we are not floodplain consultants, and we are not a dealer for any single brand.
Not being tied to one product line means we specify whatever holds the right number at the right size for the opening, which on a mixed elevation often means more than one product.
